North Delhi Mayor inaugurated Compost plant at Mori Gate Chowk

North Delhi, Mayor Mr. Raja Iqbal Singh and former Mayor, Mr. Avtar Singh today inaugurated a composting plant at Mori Gate. On the occasion DEMS Committee Chairman, Mr. Surjeet Thakur and other dignitaries were also present.

On this occasion, Mayor Mr. Raja Iqbal Singh said that with the inauguration of the composting machine, good quality manure would be obtained from dry leaves and other green waste at less cost, which would be used in parks and other places. He said this is a step to manage and dispose of green waste by processing it into compost.

Former Mayor Mr. Avtar Singh said that North Delhi Municipal Corporation is continuously working in the interest of the public so that parks can be kept beautiful and well managed, for this purpose a compost plant has been set up so that green waste can be used as manure. This would help in processing green waste into compost locally. He informed that this compost plant has 6 numbers of Aerobic Drums with 1 TPD capacity. Through this compost plant 150 kg of enriched compost will be produced daily.
